The monthly crime statistics for beats 12Y and 13X, covering December 2022 and November 2022 (revised 1/7/23), are now available on, under Resources > Crime Stats and Maps > Rockridge Crime Trends 2021-2022.  Here’s a direct link to the page:

Crime Stats November 2022 (revised)

Crime Stats December 2022

The December report shows a relatively low number of crimes:  49 incidents in 12Y and 15 in 13X, totaling 69.  Crimes against the person in 12Y were on the high side (10 incidents); 13X had a more normal 3.  The 10 crimes against the person in 12Y were nearly the highest all year, only November (when revised) was higher.  Auto-related property crimes were the highest number, although as usual 12Y had more than 13X.  Regular property crimes came next (thefts and burglaries).  There was very little vandalism reported in either beat for December.  12Y had one reported set of incidents with multiple charges in December.

November’s revised totals went from 69 (12Y – 53; 13X – 16) to 91 (12Y – 72; 13X – 19).  As I said above, 12Y’s 13 crimes against the person in November were the highest in that category all year.  The largest numbers of crimes in both beats, as usual, were in auto-related property crimes, followed by regular property crimes.  Also as usual, there was much more crime in 12Y than in 13X.  The November revision also had a new set of crimes with multiple charges in 12Y.

I would normally update the graph on the main stats page above to show December, but since December numbers are clearly lower than we expect, I’ll wait to update the 2022 graph until we get the revised numbers in February.
